What is ULURP? Join CUP in a free workshop

August 23, 2014 @ 1:15 am - 2:15 pm

Free

PART 2 of the Center for Urban Pedagogy’s Free Workshop on ULURP

As part of the Center for Urban Pedagogy’s participation in the Spontaneous Interventions exhibition on Governors Island this summer, we invite you to attend “What Is ULURP?” a hands-on workshop to learn about the city’s land-use review procedure, the players involved, and the role you can play in decision-making. Come give us feedback on the preliminary version of the workshop, and help us make our toolkit the best resource possible! And while you’re there, enjoy all the activities, food, and fun that Governors Island has to offer! The S.I. Cafe onsite offers delicious options (baguette sandwiches, espresso drinks, fresh juices), and proceeds fund Spontaneous Interventions!

Saturday, August 23d
S.I. on Governors Island, Building 403, Colonel’s Row
1:15-2:15 pm
Limited to 30 participants.
Free! RSVP is required. Please RSVP to mark@welcometocup.org.

There is a $2 fee for a round trip ferry ride to Governors Island. On Saturdays, ferries run from Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Pier 6. To attend the workshop, take the 12 pm ferry from either location.
